At Vegan World, we’re roused into action with our dream – to make vegan food easily accessible and bridge the supply gap of plant-based staples.
India’s vegan food demands are skyrocketing in tandem with the global shift for plant-based and clean-eating. But, there is a significant deficit of dedicated supply for certified vegan products that some 5 million vegans (and steadily growing) in India look for.
Being the region’s first vegan food distribution firm based out of Kolkata, we function like any other distributor in the supply-management chain. Just that all our products are vegan, cruelty-free, and plant-based.
Our business model is also why we aren’t exclusively for vegans; we’re for everybody looking forward to dab into a purer lifestyle.
Vegan World directly partners with world-class manufacturers from India and abroad and distributes uncompromisingly high-quality, ready-to-consume, or raw-material vegan foods to retailers (General, Modern, and Ecommerce).
We partner with online food delivery chains to serve individual customers looking for vegan foods for online orders.

Vegan World is a business-to-business (B2B) vegan food distributor based in Kolkata.
At present, we deliver all over the City of Joy – from Central to South to Rajarhat to Alipore to Salt Lake.
We also have retail outlets in Siliguri and are on our way to expand footprints to other cities across Bengal, including:

Unfortunately, Vegan World is not a physical retail store, and we manifest ourselves through the many retail outlets we deliver.
So, ya, whenever you ask where are we located, we answer – in so many places near you!
Our journey began in 2020 with only two stores in Kolkata. And today, just one year down the lane, we reach 25 plus stores across Kolkata and elsewhere.
Speaking about supplying to your nearest supermarkets, or departmental store, we’re on our way to expanding. Currently, we supply Spencers at one location and will gradually expand.

As of now, we don’t offer an app to order from us.
You can use our store locator to find the nearest vegan-friendly store in your locality where we distribute. Or you can look for one of our online deliver-partners like Swiggy to place orders.
So that you know, Vegan World is not a direct-to-consumer eCommerce website where you can place orders.
Our warehouse remains open from 10 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week. So is our Swiggy Vegan World store in the Grocery segment.
Once orders are placed, we do store delivery as per our schedule from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, there is no store delivery.
At Vegan World, we’re intimately connected to the city’s growing vegan and vegan-curious community. So naturally, we keep getting orders via WhatsApp.
However, we still like to follow our standard operating procedure and encourage our esteemed clients to place their orders via the established channels — Swiggy or via physical stores we deliver.
We’d love to do that someday. But, because we are a B2B company, our ability to serve individual clients is quite limited, and we do not have the infrastructure in place to do so. So, as a result, we prefer to send it through one of our partner retailers.
For people ordering via Swiggy, they can pay through Swiggy.
For other bulk orders, payments can be made via credit or debit cards, cash, or Google Play.
Speaking about direct-to-consumer orders, since we do not accept such orders, there’s no UPI or other online payment mechanisms available for that.
